On eastern sky with romantic attraction,
When You are pleased to arrive,
Your resplendent heartsong,
It is my life's delight.
With keen ears and intent eyes,
Thinking of Thee, anxiously I wait;
'Twixt You and me, absent-mind
Is our hearts' exchange.

When my psyche becomes overactive,
Pierced by proper and improper thoughts,
Tranquilly, my passionate heart,
It sings but of Your conquest.
Forgot is all anguish of loss;
All I've obtained is what remains.
