Psyche I make ignore by singing.

Pupils of my eyes are entwined with expectation;
In the thought of You they have stayed absorbed.

With enlightenment's yearning.

Known to none, divined by no one,
With eyes smiling, I would have been seeing.

In my floral grove, Lord, there are no thorns;
Fallen leaves, never do I cast off.
Notwithstanding, lest abide crest and trough,
Kindly come most cautiously.

Stayed with young grass has a slimness of body;
With the blossom-buds, a fine scent inheres.
With fantail spread, mind's peacock is dancing,
A cadence, by sweetness accompanied.

On far sky how many stars had grinned;
In speech had risen the south wind?

On mind's mirror have they stayed entwined.
In sorrow's gloom and in hours of glee

But never Him did I see.

On daybreak's eastern sky is His splendor,

When earth was not, when there'd been naught,
No pulse was there, filled with vigor.
There were no emotions, making anxious;
He alone existed, imperceptibly.

In that case what will people say to Him:
This infatuation-fount, may it not be distant.

A river am I, and I've raced incessantly;
