No matter how enthused

(1786)  Mana madhukare udvela kare

To the enthusiastic bee of psyche,
At my dwelling You were important, Dear.
But to proclaim greeting with offering welcoming,
In this humble abode, there was absolutely nothing.

How You would matter, I could not imagine;
With a light ray of hope, You would illumine.
With both hands You would take nectar from my bosom;
You would gaze with smiling face, full of affection.

Stone of philosophers, beyond expectation,
You were not impeded by simple rhetoric.
I heard not any footfall of Your arrival;
Brightening, You did come asudden.

  1. Mere ritual means not a thing to You. Even the most modest home holds Your royal throne.
