In the light had been splendor's messenger;
To recognize You I could not.
Having reached close by, You arrived, enticing mind;
Though having requested, a word I spoke not.
Having crossed the seven seas, You arrived;
Grimace of ignorance You did set afire.
Thorns of the path You flung aside;
Yet having tugged mind, I took not.
Musing, I saw not: Whoever You may be, You belong to me;
Your night of compassion, it will become morning.
If You only wish, hewn is misery extreme;
Even though knowing, to know I learned not.

How could I have been so blind? It's like You pulled wool over eyes.
