Master, You are Light's Broker;
Set aside the gloomy dark.
At end of the protracted night,
Do let dawn be brought.
So much had I been waiting,
Age after age by the hundreds aplenty.
Of a dull-witted mind, stymied,
Today, kindly note once more.
Counting brief seconds, day has transpired;
The night's darkness, alone and tongue-tied.
With unreal knowledge life has gone by;
Kindle the lamp of profound wisdom!
