The tale endures

(3725) Cander alor deshe phuler parage mishe

Mixed with floral pollen from the land moonlit,
You had arrived upon that night which...
Sweetness amplified, paradise perceived,
Hey the Mind-Pleaser, You came with what wish?

Up to now the screwpine stamens, just that story they tell;
Juhi jasmines sing Your triumph, even though distressed.
Pinwheel flowers, Spanish jasmines, and the jati, senses aquiver,
Privately, they compose boundless songs of lovers' tryst.

Even today the forest-doe, she gazes at the sky;
With his tail unbodied, the peacock spies.
In delight the frog croaks through tears love-filled;
He cries to learn from kadam and tamal still.
