The look of love

(3376) Sonar kamal phuteche

A gold lotus has appeared
In the pond of mind this morning.
In the mind exclusively can it be seen;
It exudes honey inside mind only.

Having taken so much pain the arrival is;
Only then, the lengthy hope it fulfilled.
An overflowing love effusive
Wakened, it encircling.

By the light of a jeweled lamp I espy:
Hidden are You, oh what a surprise,
My eyes having tenderized
At psyche's stronghold, hard to reach.

Now and then I believe

(3375) E ke ajana pathik elo

Who is this Unknown Traveler that arrived?
Why had He been far away, I know not.
Why does He withdraw, not want to pause;
Why does He grant no embrace, I fathom not.

In the wee small hours weeping had I been;
Amid darkness, from fear had I been frightened.
Watching the sunrise I have seen
Whose kindness; this I imagined not.

At midday with the sun's intense heat,
Like a burning flame of dismay raging,
Always I've been looking for relief;
To recognize, pious endeavor I did not.

Underneath the evening-sun's heaven ruddy,
In hope or despair I've gone on struggling.
I proclaim obeisance, there is no prayer;
Anything but grace I crave not.

Unrequited is this love of mine

(3374) Phulera mala varanadala

Floral garland and a wicker basket,[1]
They're arrayed for Your sake fruitlessly.
The day goes away, watches[2] have passed;
It seems that You won't come to my dwelling.

In the crimson color at daybreak You have smiled;
Upon thought You've risen like a bloom, evening's lady of the night.
You have mingled with night's heap of moonlight;
With a pleasing sandal-paste, heart is brimming.

Even so, why don't You hear my words;
Why don't You fathom my heart's anguish?
Why don't You come under my hope's lantern,
In the sun's garments, illuminating.

A king unique

(3373) Tumi keman raja kei ba jane

What sort of king are You, does anybody perceive?
There is neither minister nor army;
With work always You've stayed engaged or thinking.

Sleeping or awake, in thinking or in dreaming,
With a ringing or a tinkling sound You're alert constantly.
There's no boundary of knowledge, no measure of mind-state;
Through song You have been engrossed in the light's melody.

Day and night, You keep company with everybody,
Singly and jointly, in cadence and in mode of melody.
When I go on pondering, I don't find any bank;
Hey Dearest Darling, You dance alone, solitary.

I beg a fleeting glance alone...

(3372) Shuni tumi bhalabaso

I hear that You dote;
Why then do You stay remote?
And why, if that be so, myself
In tears, You keep disowned?

With You my acquaintance,
It's not a fact of just a few ages.
It had been before my attachment;
But spurn that attachment, please don't.

Day and night, evening and morn,
Time everlasting You are.
For an instant, all good or bad times ignored,
A brief look at me please throw.

The power of love...

(3371) Ankhira taray mamata bhara

From pupil of eye full of warmth,
By its invitation You had arrived.
Who is that votary, on whom squeezing heart,
You lavished the sweetness of mind?

What had been good in the world, everything,
Amid You alone it was embodied.
For all those unconscious, through cognition's wine,
The molecule You wakened with a reed pipe.

Into a floral bosom honey You did pour;
All of those seen You simply took with love.
The moon on a dark night, You let it be brought;
By fondness, what did You not realize!

Who approaches whom?

(3370) Mamata makha nayane

With eyes coated by affection,
At grove of anticipation,
You'd gazed into my own heart.

I don't fathom that which I desire;
I do not want to realize.
Topic of Your kindness I ponder at no time;
I look not in Your eyes' direction.

Hey Abiding Friend, Darling Dearest,
My Companion in both happiness and sadness,
Known easily by every intellect as kin of self,
Having arrived close by and having loved,
You smile at the core in those lonesome.
