Day comes and goes with sight and sensibility,
Though it looks not again at me.
Lord, why am I helpless and lonely?
Earth You've created with light and darkness;
In sunlight's shadow You've kept me.
Light-rays of morning sun, to get or not to get,
Sunbeams harsh derive from them.
Beneath the heat, a tender bud's incinerated;
By a sacrificial fire, grass-blades get seared.
Emanation Thine is hard and soft, stern and mild,
A thunderbolt off and on, a tree-leaf at other times.
Why to me only a cross You did provide,
With undesired desert-craving?

I did not think You would abandon me!
