For many ages I have wanted Thee;
After long, I received.
What is Your play divine, hard realized;
In darkness, it had kept me.
I had thought: Whole day from morning,
By own strength, deeds I'll keep doing.
You informed me at the noontime:
Even grass moves by mercy.
Earth goes on spinning round by kindness Thine;
Six seasons[1] arrive, from clouds water they yield.
The sky and air blanket with gist of moonlight,
Ambrosia of consciousness replete.
Action and knowledge, direction they hide;
But in the dust of Your feet they make lie.
On a litter of nectar does love glide;
Honey gets the bee.
