A mystery

(3692) Vedii sajate diip jvalate

Altar to adorn, a torch to ignite,
I have gone on searching for a matchstick all my life.
For just Your sake, upon eyes,
I've traced collyrium time after time.

That matchstick's in just Your hand, I have realized;
The wreath I keep seeking, is in company Thine.
Match is got with garland, You were kind;
The wings of mind's goose,[1] at own nest they alight.

How many ages I have sought, that too I know not;
In how many forms I am seeing, that too I grasp not.
I understand just this much: In life Yourself I seek;
Hey the boundless Infinite, unto me awakening You provide.
