A lane of jui jasmine having crossed,
That same morning You had come...
On restless winds, a course melodious,
Eyelids painted with collyrium.
All had been deep asleep, abstract the whole creation;
From gloomy darkness countless were disgorged.
Life had been motionless, velocity blockaded;
Nary a sound on the sides four.
As if there'd not been cognizance in the shoots speechless,
On veena strings no message had been jangled.
You arrived, and language came; sensation was vibrated
Upon the face of those first living ones.
